Meet Tammy Barton
Tammy Barton is one of Australia’s most influential business women and female entrepreneurs, and she’s now bringing her expertise to help people build new homes. Adelaide locals know Tammy best as the founding director of MyBudget, a service she started as a home-based business in South Australia more than 20 years ago (1999), which has since grown into one of Australia’s most trusted and recognised financial services brands.
MyBudget relieves money worries and helps people achieve their financial goals via personal budgeting and money coaching. Today, the business employs more than 250 staff and has helped more than 110,000 clients.
Tammy is a respected authority on personal budgeting and money management, and regularly features in the media as a personal finance expert and influential entrepreneur. Having judged the 2021 HIA Building Women Awards, Tammy is extremely passionate about the building industry, and takes great pride in now helping people build quality, affordable homes with MyHomeBuild, custom home builders Adelaide homeowners trust.
She has won the Telstra Business Woman of the Year (South Australia) twice and the Australian Government Business Innovation Award among multiple other recognitions, including Ernst & Young’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Central Region).
Tammy was an advisory board member of BankSA for eight years, and is currently an active board member of the Adelaide Economic Development Agency, Project Gen Z, the University of Adelaide School of Business, and the South Australian Entrepreneurship Advisory Board.

Meet Gary Dann
Gary Dann has over 30 years’ experience in the building industry, starting out as a tradesman when he was 18, and is now one of South Australia’s most respected custom home builders. Adelaide-based, Gary initially spent 10 years refining his craft working for house builders and construction companies as a tradesperson, progressing his career by developing his management skills.
His business acumen led him to property development and building his own homes, amassing an impressive property portfolio, alongside setting a high benchmark for quality in new homes. Adelaide locals all know the house builders Gary managed before starting MyHomeBuild – he’s held various executive management positions, from managing director to CEO within several prominent custom home builders, in Adelaide and throughout Australia.
